APRENDAMOS FAMILY OF SERVICES
CELEBRATES 16 YEARS!

Las Cruces, New Mexico – Aprendamos Intervention Team, PA also known as Aprendamos Family of Services is excited to celebrate 16 years of service. As an organization, Aprendamos began with small school contracts and Early Intervention services providing therapy services for children. Early intervention served and continues to serve children throughout Doña Ana County for children ages birth to three with a developmental delay or disability.

Later families asked Aprendamos to continue services for their children after the age of three Esperanza Children’s Therapy clinic came to life. Families with children who are diagnosed with Autism began asking Aprendamos for autism therapy services and Mariposa Autism Service Center began offering ABA therapy services. Families with a child who has a developmental delay of disability usually experience a higher level of stress, and families began asking for mental health services so Alegria Family Counseling clinic opened their doors.

Throughout the years, service providers noticed gaps in resources for fathers and Aprendamos applied for grant funding creating the Conscious Fathering Program of Southern New Mexico. An excellent complement to Aprendamos Early Intervention and the Conscious Fathering Program is home visiting which provides parent education, and the Cariño Home Visiting Program was created.

Sixteen years later Aprendamos Family of Services has grown to six programs providing care, education, and resources to children and families in our communities.
