Amanda McDowell currently serves as a Clinician for Alegría Family Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Circle of Security Parenting Program Facilitator.

Originally, from Florida, Amanda holds a Master’s Degree from New Mexico State University where she studied Psychology and Social Work. Amanda is a contract provider with the Aprendamos Family Services organization and additionally works for the Las Cruces Public School District. Prior to joining the Aprendamos team, Amanda served as supervisor and in various other roles with the Children, Youth, and Families Department and has experience in the areas of child welfare and childhood trauma. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and many other adventure sports.
