Angelea SalazarBCBA

Angelea Salazar is a Las Cruces native that has always had a passion for helping others. She joined the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) community in May 2017 as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and began her career with Mariposa Autism Service Center (MASC) shortly after. This experience of working with children was so fulfilling that she decided to continue her education with a master’s degree in Special Education, dedicating her career to serving the local families that could benefit from the support of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Angelea has experience with children as young as two years old to adults up to age 21. ABA programs she specializes in are potty training, feeding interventions, daily living skills, and teaching communication and social skills. The goal of each program is a better quality of life for the learner and family. Her philosophy as a professional is to find the learners’ motivation through their unique strengths and personal interests and build individualized skills utilizing those interests. Her personal philosophy is to find the highlight of any situation because there is always something to be grateful for.

On her time away from Aprendamos, Angelea enjoys 5k fundraising events like ‘Hearts for Autism’, ‘March of Dimes’, and ‘The Color Run’. She also enjoys local farmers’ markets, yard sales, hiking, and BBQs with her family, two dogs, and mini pig. Family involvement is a high priority, and this is the link that ties her and Aprendamos so closely. Families are always first.
