Cassandra was raised in Doña Ana and attended New Mexico State University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Psychology and received her master’s in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Cassandra went on to obtain her independent license as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) in 2016 and has since worked with children ages 5 to 18, adults and families.
Cassandra has experience working with families utilizing Multi-systemic Therapy and has provided services in an outpatient setting as well as to clients who are incarcerated. She currently provides therapy in both English and Spanish to a diverse population with various mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, communication, parenting issues and struggles related to incarceration. Cassandra believes in an integrative approach to therapy and enjoys incorporating mindfulness techniques.
