Helping Families Start Autism Therapy

Frequently Asked Questions

Starting autism therapy can bring up a lot of questions, especially when you are reaching out for the first time. Below you’ll find answers about contacting Mariposa Autism Service Center, submitting a referral, insurance, and what to expect after you connect with our team.

What happens after I contact Mariposa?

After you reach out, our team will review your information and help guide you through the next steps. This may include answering questions, discussing your child’s needs, reviewing required documentation, and scheduling an evaluation to see if your child qualifies for services.

You can contact us even if you are still learning about the process. For insurance-covered ABA therapy, most plans require a formal autism diagnosis. If you are unsure what documentation is needed, our team can help explain the next steps.

There may be a waitlist depending on availability, scheduling needs, and the type of support your child needs. We encourage families to contact us early so we can begin the process and provide guidance as soon as possible.

We serve children and young adults from ages 2 through 21. Services are individualized based on each child’s developmental level, needs, and goals.
