When Inez joined Aprendamos Family of Services in May 2025 as Program Manager for Cariño Family Health, she knew she was stepping into work that had the potential to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. Since then, her journey has been filled with opportunities to grow, collaborate, and contribute to programs that support families during some of the most important moments of their lives.
One of the highlights of her time as Program Manager was helping strengthen and expand our Parents as Teachers (PAT) program and supporting the launch of Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), the first program of its kind in Southern New Mexico. Being part of these efforts reinforced her belief in the importance of early childhood support and the lasting impact that strong, connected services can have on families.
Inez shared “the most meaningful part of this work is hearing directly from the families we serve and knowing that the support we provide can make a real difference in their lives.”
Throughout this journey, some of the most rewarding moments have come from hearing parents and caregivers share how our programs have helped them navigate their parenting journeys and positively impacted their children’s well-being. Their stories are both humbling and inspiring, reminding Inez that behind every program and service is a family whose life can be strengthened through support, connection, and compassion. She is incredibly proud to have helped lead this work alongside dedicated, talented, and compassionate teams who make these outcomes possible every day.
Now, Inez is honored to begin a new chapter as the Director of Client & Family Experience. As she steps into this role, she looks forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and finding new ways to strengthen the experience families have across all our programs. Her focus will be on improving coordination of care, encouraging collaboration between teams, and ensuring families receive consistent, high-quality support throughout their journey with us.
“My goal is to ensure every family feels heard, valued, and supported, no matter where they are in their journey with us.”
Inez believes creating meaningful experiences for families begins with supporting the people who serve them. Our staff and leaders are our greatest assets, and she hopes to bring thoughtful leadership, strong advocacy, and a commitment to excellence to this role. By fostering open communication, strengthening relationships, and working together across programs, we can continue building a culture where both our team members and the families we serve feel appreciated and empowered.
As Inez reflects on how much has happened since joining Aprendamos, she feels grateful for the people whom she has worked alongside, the families who have trusted us, and the opportunities that lie ahead. Inez looks forward to listening, learning, and collaborating with colleagues across the organization as we continue strengthening the services we provide.
To her colleagues, thank you for the important work you do every day and for your continued dedication to our mission. To the families in our community, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey and for the trust you place in us. It is a privilege to serve you, and we remain committed to helping ensure every family feels respected, supported, and valued.
“At the heart of this work is a simple but powerful purpose: helping children and families thrive. I’m excited for this next chapter and the difference we can continue to make together across Southern New Mexico.”
