Supporting Southern New Mexico children, individuals, and families for over 20 years

Welcome, Cynthia!

After nearly three years with Aprendamos Family of Services, Cynthia Perez is stepping into a new leadership role as Director of Mental Health Services for our Alegria Family Counseling program.  Cynthia has a strong foundation of experience, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Since joining Aprendamos, Cynthia has served as a clinician at Alegria, where she has had the opportunity to work closely with individuals and families during some of the most challenging and vulnerable moments of their lives. Through this work, Cynthia has found a deep sense of purpose in the impact that compassionate care and support can have.

“The most meaningful part of my work has been seeing the impact we can have on individuals and families during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments in their lives,” Cynthia shared.

As she begins this next chapter, Cynthia is looking forward to expanding her leadership skills while contributing to the continued growth and success of Aprendamos.

“I’m most excited about the opportunity to continue growing as a leader while helping strengthen our programs, our team, and the experience we provide to the people we serve,” she said.

In her new role, Cynthia hopes to foster an environment where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow. Her leadership approach will be rooted in collaboration, accountability, and professional development.

“I hope to bring a leadership style that is supportive, collaborative, and accountable,” Cynthia explained. “I am looking forward to providing my team with the knowledge that I’m someone they can rely on, while also encouraging growth, creativity, and professional development.”

As Cynthia takes on this new role, she remains grounded in the values that have guided her work throughout her time with Alegria.  She is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the organization and the community in a new capacity.

“I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited for this new chapter. I am committed to leading with compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to continue to make a difference in our community.”

Please join us in congratulating Cynthia on her new role and wishing her continued success as she begins this exciting chapter with Aprendamos Family of Services.
