Supporting Southern New Mexico children, individuals, and families for over 20 years

Jessica is the Early Intervention Lead at Aprendamos Early Intervention.

Congratulations, Jessica!

We would like to congratulate Jessica Reyes on her recent promotion to Early Intervention Lead for Aprendamos Early Intervention! Jessica has been with the Aprendamos Family of Services organization for over 8 years, however, her Aprendamos story began much earlier. She shared, “My journey started 13 years ago when my daughter, Ryan, was a newborn and receiving services through Aprendamos. It was a very challenging time and the support my daughter and I received from the program was amazing. Ryan made so much progress within the year that she did not re-qualify for services. Although I was ecstatic she was doing so well, there was the realization that we wouldn’t be receiving visits from the team that had such a huge impact on our lives.”

In the last eight years, Jessica has been able to serve our clients and families in the same capacity and has had the opportunity to experience the rewards of seeing children flourish and families thrive. She uses her expertise to empower families and to create a positive work environment and has successfully coordinated services and worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure children receive the support they need. Jessica describes herself as “a true believer in how our approach sets the foundation for how we experience life and determines the outcome of every situation.”

Originally from Las Cruces, NM, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders with a minor in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Prior to her promotion, she has served as an Aprendamos Early Intervention Family Service Coordinator, Developmental Instructionist, and Intake Coordinator. In her new role, she will be overseeing intake staff in Las Cruces, overseeing staff in Hatch and Truth or Consequences, working with program managers and community partners, disseminating referrals, and working in conjunction with administrative staff and billing departments.

In Jessica’s free time, she can be found attending volleyball and basketball games for her daughter and nieces, gardening, and watching football. When we asked Jessica what she was looking forward to most in her new role, she said, “I look forward to serving families in a new capacity, continuing to build trusting relationships, and working collaboratively with staff, other programs and community partners. I’m excited about promoting growth to better the families in our communities.”

Please join us in congratulating Jessica!
