We are excited to welcome Elisa McLaughlin as the Client Services Specialist for Cariño Health & Wellness Programs! Raised in Las Cruces, NM, Elisa graduated from Mayfield High School and attended the University of New Mexico, where she majored in Music Education and Classical Voice. Prior to joining the Cariño team, Elisa worked in private family support and early childhood education as a professional caregiver and academic tutor. These experiences helped to shape her professional journey and deepen her passion for helping children and families thrive.
As the Cariño Client Services Specialist, Elisa will help strengthen the systems that connect clients and families to care and to continue building and expanding the Cariño Family Pantry. In her short time with the organization, she has also already witnessed the expansion of services provided by the Cariño team. “It’s been inspiring to witness the launch of our newest program, Nurse-Family Partnership, and to see Cariño’s growth firsthand. Being part of this foundation is truly meaningful,” Elisa shared.
When Elisa isn’t busy connecting Cariño families to resources and care, she can be found enjoying music as both a creative outlet and a way to connect with culture and community. “I’m so grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received from everyone at Aprendamos and proud to be part of such a compassionate, mission-driven organization,” she said. “I look forward to continuing to grow here and helping make a lasting difference for families in our community.”
