Please join us in welcoming Inez Quiñones to the Aprendamos Family of Services team! Inez will be serving as the Programs Manager for the Cariño Health & Wellness Programs. As a native New Mexican and Mayfield High School graduate, Inez began her college studies at the University of New Mexico before moving to Texas, where her life took her in a new direction with a young marriage and the joy of raising two amazing children. She later returned to her studies and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2004.
With a background in nursing, and experience across hospitals, schools, and managed care settings, Inez has developed a deep expertise in working with underserved families, including those navigating high-risk pregnancies, neonatal care, and other complex health challenges. When we asked Inez what excites her most about her new role, she shared that through this position, she will have the opportunity to help lead programs that make a meaningful difference during some of the most vulnerable and important moments in a family’s life. “Pregnancy, early childhood, and the transition into parenthood are times when support matters most, and I’m proud to be part of a team that shows up with care, consistency, and expertise. I’m especially passionate about expanding access to high-quality, culturally responsive services for families in Southern New Mexico,” she said.
Inez is also eager to help lead the charge in supporting the launch of innovative programs like Nurse-Family Partnership. “This partnership is a powerful step toward equity. My goal is to ensure families feel supported, informed, and connected every step of the way and to build strong systems that help our staff grow, feel valued, and deliver exceptional care,” she shared.
Through her time with the organization, Inez has already experienced the culture and values that serve as the backbone of Aprendamos. “I feel so fortunate to be part of such a compassionate and committed organization that truly feels like a family. As I begin this new chapter, I look forward to building strong connections with my colleagues, learning from their expertise, and working side by side to have a significant impact on the individuals, families and communities we serve.”
When she isn’t making a difference for families with the Cariño team, she can be found spending time with family, listening to live music, hosting family dinners, and traveling.
Thank you, Inez, for your dedication to putting families first and being a part of our mission to support children and families by providing compassionate, expert care. We are lucky to have you on the Aprendamos Family of Services team!
