A Reflection on Growth and Community with Veronica Jurney

Eight years ago, Veronica Jurney, a Licensed Health and Life Insurance Broker, began providing benefits consulting services to Aprendamos Family of Services. At first, it was simply a professional partnership, but over time, the relationship grew into something much more personal and meaningful. As she got to know Aprendamos and the people behind it, Veronica saw firsthand the heart that drives the organization and the deep commitment to families, to children, and the community.

Even early on, when Aprendamos was just one of many local initiatives, Veronica felt like the organization stood out. “It wasn’t just offering services — it was filling real gaps, responding to what families actually needed. While many efforts focused on basic support, Aprendamos came in with a broader, more thoughtful approach. They looked at the whole picture — emotional, developmental, and educational needs — and found ways to lift families up in lasting ways,” she shared.

Over the years, Veronica watched Aprendamos grow — not just in size, but in vision. What began as a small team with a big dream became a strong, multi-layered organization that continually adapted to meet new challenges. From early childhood programs to family support and even wellness initiatives for staff, Aprendamos kept evolving. “It wasn’t just about expanding,” Veronica said. “It was about deepening their impact and staying true to what matters.”

But what’s resonated with Veronica most isn’t just the programs — it’s the people. She’s seen children gain confidence, families find stability, and staff members thrive in a place that truly values them. One of her close friends received support from Aprendamos during a difficult time, and it changed the course of their life. “That kind of impact stays with you,” she said. “And the community? It’s stronger because of Aprendamos. Families are more prepared for the future, and there’s a sense of resilience that’s grown with the organization’s presence. They haven’t just responded to problems — they’ve anticipated needs and invested in long-term change.”

Looking back, Veronica feels grateful to have been part of the Aprendamos journey. She’s seen what’s possible when a group of dedicated people pour their energy into a mission bigger than themselves. “It’s been an honor to walk alongside the team at Aprendamos,” she said. “Their passion, their adaptability, their heart — it’s something truly special. And I can’t wait to see where they go next.”
