Congratulations, Angel Salazar!

Please join us in congratulating Angel Salazar on her new role as Co-Director of Mariposa Autism Service Center!

Angel’s journey with Mariposa Autism Service Center began in 2017 when she joined the team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients while building strong relationships with families and colleagues inspired her to continue growing professionally.

As she gained experience in the field, Angel pursued the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) apprenticeship program. In 2021, she reached an important professional milestone when she became a home-grown BCBA.

Supporting the People Who Support Families

As Angel steps into her new leadership role, one of her priorities is continuing to build a workplace where team members feel supported, connected, and encouraged to grow.

“I believe that when our staff feel supported and connected to their work, they are better positioned to provide meaningful and compassionate services to the families we serve,” Angel shared.

She hopes to foster a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere where employees have opportunities to develop professionally while maintaining a fulfilling and sustainable work-life balance.

Keeping Families First

For Angel, moving forward also means preserving what has made MASC special throughout her own journey with the program.

Her vision is to continue developing MASC with intention while strengthening the relationships among families, staff, and the community.

“I am committed to keeping Families First at the center of our decisions, strengthening the relationships that make MASC special, and thoughtfully building upon the foundation that has allowed our organization to thrive,” she shared.

As someone whose own career has grown within MASC, Angel now has the opportunity to help support the next generation of professionals as they build their own paths within autism services.
