Shelly Langley Apprenticeship Coordinator/Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Congratulations, Shelly

Please join the Mariposa Autism Service Center (MASC) team in congratulating Shelly Langley on her recent promotion to Apprenticeship Coordinator/Board Certified Behavior Analyst! Prior to her Apprenticeship Coordinator role, Shelly served as a MASC Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and worked in the field for 10 years in a variety of positions, including Registered Behavior Technician, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Clinical Director, and Course Instructor at Arizona State University. Originally from Georgia, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies from Ball State University, where she minored in Applied Behavior Analysis and Sociology. Shelly also earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis. From Arizona State University

Shelly joined the Aprendamos Family of Services MASC team in June of 2024. In her new role, she is excited for the opportunity to help shape and support the next generation of BCBAs on a larger scale. “I believe that, beyond directly serving our clients, this is one of the most meaningful responsibilities we have as professionals. By mentoring future BCBAs in both clinical competencies and essential soft skills, we ultimately impact not only their growth but also the success of the clients they will serve,” she said. Through her experiences in different roles within the field, Shelly has also gained a broader perspective on what contributes to success as a BCBA. “I also see this position as a chance to continue growing and learning alongside the apprentices. The high standards for the exam will keep me focused on strengthening my own skills so I can provide meaningful and effective support,” she shared.

Reflecting on her journey with Aprendamos, Shelly feels one of the most rewarding aspects has been the new assessments she has learned. “In the field, it’s common to rely on a limited set of assessments, so this exposure to a wider variety has been a valuable experience for me. I’m excited to have expanded my knowledge and to now be able to support a broader range of clients more effectively,” she said. She also finds inspiration from her RBT colleagues and their dedication to learning and commitment to providing quality care for our clients. “Their willingness to grow and apply feedback motivates me to keep refining my own skills so I can better support them in delivering effective, client-centered services. Working alongside such dedicated team members reminds me of the shared purpose that drives our work each day,” Shelly said.

Outside of work, Shelly values spending time with her husband of 16 years and their three children, ages 15, 13, and 12. She also enjoys finding opportunities to relax and read a great book.

Thank you, Shelly, for your constant pursuit of excellence and for all you do for the MASC team and families! Congratulations on your new role.
